Our Goals at
Home-Sweet-Home...
Country Living Childcare:

My goal is to provide a safe and happy place for
children.  I have a semi-structured environment.  That
is, I have a schedule for the day and teach a preschool
program:  however, I also feel part of 'family home'
daycare is to make the child feel like they're at home.
To accomplish this, I get them involved with meal
planning (this may include taking a trip to the
grocery store), they will help clear the table, and may
even help fold an occassional small load of laundry.

Studies have shown that these types of activities help
nurture a sense of well-being and belonging in children.
and contribute dramatically towards the
development of self-esteem.

This year I am adding school-aged children to my
program.  I'm excited to be offering a fun and safe
alternative to the usual afterschool care program.
We will have crafts, science projects, or just plain ol'
FUN!  I will also offer a quiet area for those
children who wish to do homework
